I stumbled upon a café named NORMAD—and although I wasn’t sure how to pronounce it, it reminded me of “NOMAD.” Naturally, I felt a sense of connection and curiosity that led me to step inside.
It was around noon, and the café was relatively quiet. I ordered their Salt Coffee and spent some time working on my laptop.

🪑 Inside the Café: Space & Atmosphere
The interior is modern and spacious with high ceilings, tile tables, and cozy wooden accents. There are two floors, offering a comfortable and welcoming ambiance.
Music plays softly in the background, and you might occasionally hear the staff chatting or singing. While it’s not dead quiet, it has that lively, laid-back vibe typical of popular cafés.

🧭 2nd Floor: Quiet and Ideal for Work
Upstairs is noticeably quieter and brighter thanks to large windows letting in natural light. The wide spacing between seats makes it ideal for laptop work or focused sessions.
By early afternoon, more locals began to arrive, and the place filled with a mix of chatter and concentration. I also saw a few foreign digital nomads typing away, making it clear this café caters to both casual customers and working visitors.

📘 How Was the Salt Coffee?
I ordered Cà phê muối (Salt Coffee) once again—this time at NORMAD.

The flavor leaned more toward the bitter side, with a rich body. The drink had “NORMAD” printed in cocoa powder on the foam, which gave it a unique presentation.
That said, BREWMAN’s Salt Coffee still wins in my book for its perfect salt-sweet balance. But if you’re looking for a distinct twist on a trendy local drink, NORMAD is worth trying.

✍️ Final Thoughts
I was intrigued by the café’s name, and I’m glad I followed that instinct. It turned out to be a solid spot with dual vibes—bustling on the ground floor, tranquil up top.
While I personally prefer BREWMAN’s take on Salt Coffee, NORMAD’s ambiance and visual design add another flavor to Da Nang’s diverse café scene. If you’re exploring local cafés with nomad-friendly features, this one deserves a spot on your map.
