Forging my own path through video.
One life. I refuse to settle for less.
That thought kept echoing in my mind.
I wanted to change my life through video.
That desire is what led me to start creating under the name NOMAWAYS.
A sense of discomfort, and a meeting with video
At some point, I began to feel like my days were simply being consumed.
Commuting between home and work, telling myself I was doing it for someone else—yet slowly wearing down inside.
It’s not that there were no happy moments.
Time with my family meant everything to me and kept me going.
But every time those moments ended, the same unchanging routine came back to greet me.
Is this really how I want to live the rest of my life?
That quiet but growing discomfort eventually became impossible to ignore.
“If I want a new path, I’ll have to make it myself.”
That thought led me to close my MacBook Air—and take a new step forward.
Discovering a passion for video
When I asked myself what I truly wanted to do for work,
the answer that came first was video.
I’ve always loved watching videos, so naturally, I wanted to try making them myself.
I bought a MacBook Pro with M4 Pro chip to start editing with DaVinci Resolve.
Whenever I had a spare moment, I’d open Resolve and dive in.
The sleek interface and endless creative possibilities—it was just pure fun.
Bit by bit, the idea of “creating video with my own hands” started to feel real.
Inspiration and commitment
Then one day, I stumbled upon the term “digital nomad” on YouTube.
It hit me—people actually live like this? The idea shocked and inspired me.
That’s how I came across video creator Kazu Maeda.
I began learning seriously under his mentorship, committed to the idea of making a living through video.
The meaning behind NOMAWAYS
If there is no path ahead, make one.
“No more ways” means the road ends here—but I want to go one step further:
So I make one.
This line is the origin of the name NOMAWAYS.
The word NOMAWAYS is a blend of two ideas:
“Nomad”—a mindset of choosing your own way of working and living freely,
and “Ways”—representing the many options and paths in a nomadic lifestyle.
Creating your own path and walking it on your own terms—
that’s the spirit of NOMAWAYS.
Lighting the next step with video
I haven’t achieved anything great—yet.
But there’s one thing I can say with certainty:
This path is mine, and I chose it.
To me, video is more than just a job.
It’s a tool to change lives.
A gentle light to guide someone forward.

I hope to create videos that shine a light on someone’s next step—
